The Simple Woman's Daybook

The Simple Woman\

FOR TODAY...November 23

Outside my window...the world seems quiet.  No noticeable activity.  It is foggy and overcast again.

I am thinking...it is nice to have my husband and my children home today.

I am thankful for...all the bounty that God has blessed us with.

I am remembering...Thanksgiving at home when I was growing up.  The smell of turkey baking in the oven, the Thanksgiving parade with all its floats and balloons, my family at home together.  Precious memories.

I am going...to a doctor's appointment later this morning and to run some errands.

I am reading...from Proverbs today.  (Actually I have already done that.)

I am hoping...for a blessed Thanksgiving week and the peace of the Lord.

On my mind...life.

From the learning room...no school today, but is not life a learning room?

Noticing that...there is pleasure in the quiet.

Pondering...little, just letting my mind relax.

From the kitchen...I need to brine my turkey today and make sure I have all the ingredients for my dressing.  My husband's family is coming for a Thanksgiving meal tomorrow night.

Around the house...a feeling of peace.

One of my favorite things...remembering what God has done for me.

From my picture journal

Sorry, I could not get my pictures to load.  It was taking way to long.  I will tell you that my pictures were of some Christmas bows that I will be giving away.  If you would like to enter please check back this week for the details.  I have won two giveaways since I have been blogging.  Which has not been a long time (since September of this year).  I would like to bless someone else.  I believe blessings should be passed along when possible!  So check back if you are interested.

Hi Patty,

I enjoyed your Daybook - fun to "meet" people this way.

And I agree, the whole world can be the "learning room" :0)

It is a wonderful day when the family is all together. My favorite memories are of Thanksgivings at my Grandma's house. I pray you are not sick. Have a great Thanksgiving and make lots of memories for your family. Doylene
