May Our Dreams Come True

Holley's question, "What are your God-sized dreams for 2010?," took my thoughts back to a recent conversation I had with God.  The words and thoughts that I shared that night with God went something like this:  I don't want to set the stage, I don't want to plan the play, take my heart in your hands, form in me Your desires.  I surrender to you what more can I do.  I wrote my words down because I write a bit of music and this is where the lyrics usually come from ~ what is in my heart.

This is my dream for 2010, to let God set the stage of my life. To let Him plan the characters, the outcome, my part, the where, the when, the why, the how.  To start by asking Him to form His desires in me means we don't have to take the time to weed out what is not a part of His will.  I want to walk the path He has laid out for me in 2010 ~ to do it well, for His glory.

I feel desires rising in my heart ~ and what more can the answer be but yes, yes and amen, if they come from Him to start with.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. ~ Philippians 2:13.

So what are your God-sized dreams?

Ring In the New Year

On the eve of the new year, and we look toward 2010, let us choose to remember:
  •  God is love ~ always.
Love ~  suffereth long, is kind, envieth not, vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things ~ it never fails!
  •  Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
  • We can cast all our anxiety on Him ~  He cares for us ~ He really does.
  • In this world we will have trouble ~ but we can be of good cheer ~  He has overcome the world.
  • Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness ~ the other will be added.
  • God will provide all of our needs.
  • Be filled with the Spirit ~ it yields such good fruit ~ love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance ~ against such there is no law.
