Friend or Foe?

Our oldest son is renting a small, two bedroom house with one of his buddies. They have indoor pets. Our son has fish, his roommate has a dog. I think the dog has access to every room of the house except our son's room. Recently our son decided to add some new fish to his aquarium and his roommate's dog took notice. Our son noticed that his roommate's dog was missing one day and went to find her. Guess where he found her. Yep, in his room. Somehow she had gone into his room and had closed the door. When he opened the door he found her sitting in front of the aquarium staring at the fish. Harmless, right? Certainly she was curious. The next time ~ he found her in his room licking the aquarium! So, hopefully she is just being friendly. Or maybe she's part cat! 

 

Whatever her intent ~ she's quite taken with the new arrivals.

Weekend Doings

What do the guys do while mom is browsing at the sales rack? Spend time at the card racks. They sure seemed to be enjoying themselves. I could hear them laughing with each other. Of course they had to get me involved. My husband kept bringing cards for me to read. Yep, the card rack is truly a source of laughter.

 Ah, Sunday School. I really like the idea that my SS Teacher shared about taking snapshots (in the mind, mind you) of our days and then looking back at them. What would we see, what would others see. There was a lot of laughter going on as comments were shared. What a good idea, though. To take stock and really see what's going on. I have a feeling I would have a lot of photos I would rather discard than share. If so, then change should come. Wasn't it Albert Einstein that said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? Mercy, I need to get rid of some insanity!

Our Pastor's sermon Sunday was on what the church (the body of Christ) should look like. I thought it was a very good sermon. When he talked about the different parts of the body, he mentioned what it would be like if the Church were one big eye bouncing around grossing people out. I got tickled at the thought of that. My son said I was the only one laughing. Surely not. Maybe my hormones are more messed up than I think! He certainly challenged us to be the body and bride of Christ that we should be ~ focused on the Groom.

Mass Confusion ~ Really?

I was going to make a casserole one day and realized when I looked in the refrigerator that I had failed to get the cheese for the recipe.  I had lost my recipe and my husband and I had tried to create an ingredients list from memory.  When I realized that it had to have cheese, which I had forgotten, I began to question whether or not it was suppose to have the sour cream that I had not forgotten.  I finally said, "Oh, I am so confused."  To which my son calmly replied, "Don't worry mom, everybody is."

Really? Okay, maybe he was just trying to make me feel better. I can live with that! Wait ~ nope. I asked him. He really thinks everyone is confused. I can live with that too!
