Pondering

  • There are as many sides to a story as there are people involved.
  • Many people will believe whatever they "hear" regardless of the truth.
  • I had someone say to me that if people don't know the truth, then they make something up. How sad.
  • Sometimes people have suspicious minds and hurt innocent people.
  • I heard it said that people are always looking for a scandal. Unfortunately, Christians are not exempt. Oh be careful little hears what you hear!
  • Transparency can bring about a lot of  "busy bodies" and gossip,  lack of transparency can do the same.  Why bother?  Let's mind our own business.
  • Gossip is like playing a game.  Eeny, meeny, miny, moe!  Is there truth in there somewhere?
  • If you want to know the truth, why not ask the one who knows?  If they want to share, fine, if they don't (and it doesn't involve you) leave it alone.
  • Many friends may be "fair weather" friends, but there really is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.
  • Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.
  • As it is with the flesh, so it is with the heart; deep wounds take longer to heal than a scratch.
  • Love covers a multitude of sins, but it is often in short supply.
  • While we were yet in our sins, Christ died for us.
