The Simple Woman's Daybook

The Simple Woman\

FOR...March 15 ~ 16, 2010

Outside my window...it is very, very, dark.

I am thinking...that going back to sleep in the morning can surely mess your bed time up.

I am thankful...for Spring Break and the opportunity to work in the yard.

I am remembering...how as a baby our firstborn got his nights and days mixed up. I think Spring Break might do the same for us. Our children want to stay up late and sleep in.

I am going...to be very tired come morning because I am staying up late. Not that I did not try to go to sleep earlier. I got back up because I could not fall asleep. Thus, I am doing this daybook (maybe I should call this one a nightbook). Actually it won't be long and it will be Tuesday. Probably before I can finish this daybook entry. So I guess it is really a Monday ~ Tuesday Daybook.

I am reading...my Bible and various other things.

I am hoping...to visit family this week, finish some school scheduling for my youngest son's classes for next fall, find a quilting project to start, prepare a menu, work some more in the yard, enjoy some down time, have fun with the kids and so much more. Unrealistic ~ Unrealistic ~ Unrealistic!  Spring Break is only one week. I will do what I can and not fret over the other.

Noticing that...it is now Tuesday.

Pondering...the scripture passage on the sidebar for today ~ "With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Isaiah 26:9
Especially the part I highlighted.

From the kitchen...well that's one thing about doing this at night ~ nobody needs to be fed. Not for several hours anyway.

One of my favorite things...a good night's sleep!

I smiled when you said your 'plans' were unrealistic and decided to do what you can and not fret over the rest! It's a good reminder for so many of us!

The signs of spring in your yard were heartening. It really is coming! Finally!!!!

Thank you for sharing Spring with me~we are not quite there yet. Southern Missouri had just started to bloom. I think any day now. It is chilly this morning. I like do not take well to the time change either. At least now with my pre-menopause wake up at 4:00 each morning~it is now 5:00. Surely that sounds better! Have a great day~I am praying for your family too! 8)
