FOR...May 11, 2010
Outside my window...it is dark with just a few lights in the neighborhood piercing the darkness.
I am thinking...about the videos I watched over at GIGATTAATTGIG about the flooding in Nashville. You should really take a look and certainly be in prayer for all the people dealing with the aftermath of this. You will need to scroll all the way down to see the videos on GIGATTAATTGIG.
I am thankful...that I serve a good, merciful, and just God.
He is above all!
I am remembering...that my youngest child has a keyboarding/piano lesson today. I have some things I need to take care of beforehand.
I am going...to go back to sleep.
I am reading...my Bible, a little book called Coffee and Conversation with Ruth Bell Graham and Gigi Graham Tchividjian, and other things.
Noticing that...I enjoy reading the testimonies of what God has done and is doing in the lives of His people. The lives of men and women over history testify of the goodness, greatness, and working of our God. I am humbled when I see how God has been faithful to mankind despite mankind's unfaithfulness many times to Him.
Pondering...it's far to early to be pondering. I should really be sleeping. I woke up and could not go back to sleep. It is nice and quiet though, but I think I will try to go back to sleep for a few hours or I will be awful tired later in the day.
From the kitchen...silence. I really don't know what will be on the menu for today. Maybe this will be one of those days where I will ask my family if we really have to eat. Nay, I've tried that before and usually just get strange looks or a "Yes, we do."
One of my favorite things...the beauty of God's creation and being at the right place at the right time to enjoy the moon looming large and orange, geese passing over honking loudly, the sun rising and the beautiful colors of a sunset, a gentle breeze, a moon halo, and all the other bounty of creation.
