A Little Inspiration

We have been contemplating repainting the interior of our house. For some reason I have been drawn to whites. I think I want to paint most of our house white (at one time I thought all). My husband is hoping that by the time we actually get around to it, I will have changed my mind. He just can't wrap his thoughts around an all white house. It said it would be like living in an apartment. Yea, apartment white does not appeal to me either. The white I have in mind is soft and lovely. I have looked at a lot of pictures on pinterest and what first set my mind in the white direction was a Pottery Barn Book. I borrowed it from the library and rechecked it when it was due. It has since gone back to the library. I have a Amazon gift card that I am thinking of using on a copy of the Pottery Barn Book. If the white is just a passing phase I hope I get out of it before I buy the book! Anyway, I did pick up a little piece for inspiration.

I think it's lovely. I may be the only one in my house who does. Any thoughts on this folks?

I think white on white can look very peaceful and fresh...I am drawn to that look at times, too! My home has LOTS of colour in it, and I wonder if the time will come when I will want to go with more white. Perhaps when all the boys move out with wives of their own? LOL! For now...I don't have time to do a big overhaul...so, colour it will remain for some time to come. Happy decorating!!

Blessings to you!

I have a lot of color in my house. I have a bright yellow kitchen and a pale green living room, which looks very calming. I never would have made each room a different color until I visited a lady in our church and her house was this way. It was so nice that I decided to do it too.
I do love the little pottery thing. I love anything that looks kind of antique.

I do love white too~ although when I think about it I think about all the white trim I have now. My house is only four years old and I think it is always dirty and needs a yearly coat of paint.
I say go for it~ if that is what you love.

Hope you have a blessed weekend.
