Grabbed My Attention

Words from "Thy Mercy My God" I listened to here.

Thy free grace alone, from the first to the last, hath won my affections and bound my soul fast.

Quote included in our Sunday School lesson prepared by our SS leader:

Peter was identified as a follower of Christ on the night he denied the Lord three times because "thy speech betrayeth thee" (Matthew 26:73).  I was raised in East Tennessee, and my "speech betrayeth me" as well.  But let me use a little East Tennessee hillbilly twang to make a point about being aggressive in pursuing the call to "Go":  Ain't hardly nobody been saved what ain't been went after!
