Seasons To Share

I am reminded today of two passages of scripture:

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rent, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war;  and a time of peace.

Romans 12:15
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

We just celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary ~ as I posted Sunday.  Today I am reminded that while some celebrate, others mourn. I think of so many people that I know and of all the events going on in their lives ~ weddings, deaths, births, anniversaries, and many other things.  Seasons of life.  I am reminded also that the seasons change, yet we must live through each one, but they do change.  We change with them and we share with each other ~ through the seasons of life as each event fulfills its purpose under the heaven. And God is ever present with His children, through it all, never failing.

Patricia shared these videos on her website.  She has dealt with periods of grief since her husband's death, yet there is so much life that still goes on.  I thought I would share the videos here also ~ what a blessing:

I like that portion of scripture. It is good to remind ourselves often. I'm glad you enjoyed the songs. We purchased two of their CD's for Christmas. I listened to one all the way home on my five hour trip after saying my final goodbye to baby Uriah. It was a time of sorrow and healing. Music has such power to affect us.

Blessings,
Patricia
