The Simple Woman's Daybook

The Simple
Woman\

FOR TODAY...April 13, 2010

Outside my window...It is just beautiful. The sun is shining, the birds are singing ~ spring has come!
It has disappeared now but there was a bird running along the edge of our porch.

I am thinking...that spring is such a beautiful time of year.

I am thankful for...life ~ but not just life, but abundant life in Jesus.

I am remembering...that I need to spend time in preparation for several upcoming events.

I am going...to put this day in the hands of the Lord.

I am reading...my Bible, and other books and study materials.

I am hoping...still!

On my mind...contentment.

Noticing that...God has used several devotions from Charles Swindoll, that my Sunday School teacher forwards to those in her class, so many times to speak to me. How timely they have been. I don't usually even take the time to read extra devotions like this because I am usually already doing a Bible Study and reading other materials. I have been blessed over and over again by them. Here are links to Monday and Tuesdays devotions if you would like to take a look: You Can Make a Difference and Think It Over.

Pondering...the perfect timing of God ~ when it does seem perfect and even when it doesn't seem perfect to us.

From the kitchen...nothing at the moment. I do not have any prepared plans for today's meals. I  have not taken the time to prepare a menu, something that I need to do.

Around the house...I need to continue to get rid of some clutter. I had a day to myself last week and spent the afternoon shopping. Shopping is not conducive to clutter control. Now I have to find a place for some new things.

One of my favorite things...feeling the satisfaction received from finishing a project. I have a lot of satisfaction waiting on me if I would just get some of those projects finished!

From my picture journal

I planted this bed with sunflowers last year. This year I have gladiolas and dahlias planted. You can see that the gladiolas have come up already. I just planted the dahlias so it will be a while longer for them.

Oh I need to get rid of clutter too. That is one of my big plan when my husband is away in the coming weeks. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
