History Resources

Along with our U.S.History this year I am trying to include some additional resources that will bring the time periods we are studying more "alive".  I thought I would share some possibilities with any of you who might be looking for something more also. I have shared some of these before, but they are all here together.

1.) Colonial Williamsburg's Electronic Field Trips ~ these are available for a reduced rate through the Homeschool Buyer's Co-op. Here is the link to the information ~  https://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/index.php?option=com_hsbc_epp_order&Itemid=1150.

2.) The White House Museum gives a great opportunity to tour the White House and offers lots and lots of information.

3.) I have shared this link before, but will include it here also ~ Animated Atlas of American History.

4.) Drive Thru History America is available from many sources. You can find it here or google it for other possibilities.

5.) There is a lot of history available from PBS on the westward expansion into America. You can check it out here.

6.) There is more material here than I think one will have time to use or even wade through, but maybe you will find something of interest ~ The Civil War Home Page.

If you know of any U.S. History resources that you are especially fond of please feel free to share.

How wonderful that you provided all those links Patty! Sounds like you are going to have a very full "history" year! My oldest *loves* history...very fascinating, isn't it? :)

Blessings,
Camille

Thanks for posting these links. I too am always looking for something different to make history more interesting for my kids.
